About Kudos

Kudos is a cloud-based peer-to-peer employee recognition software for organizations with more than 100 employees. The platform gives organizations a high degree of customization around branding and the use of rewards. Other features include custom rewards, culture analytics and manager reporting, rewards catalog, leaderboards, birthdays and milestones, photo sharing, and more. Recognition is the core of Kudos, with rewards being entirely optional. Users of Kudos send recognition to each other using direct messages, video messaging, or using existing communication channels like Slack or Teams. Many Kudos clients also choose to make use of its Culture Strategy team, which is dedicated to building tailored programs designed to further drive employee engagement. Kudos integrates with many third-party applications like ADP, Workday, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, Zendesk, LinkedIn and Okta. It comes with a mobile application for iOS and Android devices. The solution is available on a monthly subscription and support is provided via phone, online help desk and chat.

Nothing short of an exceptional experience! Our team is in loving with having Kudos.

More customizing options for the pages feature, but not really a con. I've found a work around by creating custom graphics with my preferred images and fonts and uploading. Very easy to read on mobile phones which is so nice! This has become our company "go to" for resources such as our benefit program overview.

Pros

The program is incredibly user friendly and availability on all platforms: computer, mobile, Gmail build in, and more. We have employees with language barriers that can use the program with ease! The program has connected our company and solidified our core values of team. With hotels spread out our province, all the teams can come together to recognize, share best practices, and celebrate success. It has also helped me get to know our team and helps our ownership group stay involved with day to day news. One of the customer rep, from the beginning, has been incredibly helpful and efficient. Kudos Support help answer any questions I have so quickly and properly. Not to mention, I have given multiple improvement requests which have come through shortly after! Kudos truly cares and we feel valued... most importantly, our team feels valued having this incredible tool to recognize and communicate with each other. I would not hesitate to recommend Kudos to any other organization.

Great for Employee Engagement

Very positive. I'm very confident that this tool will help us build a more positive culture and a new way to put focus on employee recognition.

Pros

It's structured like a social feed and very easy to use. Minimal training required and implementation and customization was very simple. Powerful tool for increasing employee engagement and building a culture of recognition.

Cons

I wish it supported GIF files and had a way to set up points activities that users could claim, but other than that it's great!

Kudos was much more affordable and had virtually all of the same features. It also puts more emphasis on the core values and qualities that you want employees to demonstrate vs. the number of points sent from user to user.

Kudos - KPI with a (Positive) Difference

Overall, integrating Kudos into our HR and KPI environment has been a breeze. Rating employee satisfaction is often as important as customer feedback - Kudos knows this, so their entire ecosystem has been built on that principle. We have seen a tremendous improvement in our workplace, with far fewer complaints being lodged, and far more compliments being shared. Competition in the workplace has also been maintained without neglecting performance.

Pros

Overviewing employee satisfaction AND performance in one dashboard is an absolute gift, both for myself and my contemporaries in C-suite as well as HR. We have not deployed Kudos on a managerial level, and feel it performs more than adequately within upper management and HR.

From my experience, there is no solution currently on the market that facilitates such positivity in the work environment without compromising it's use as a KPI-tracking and HR intermediary.

Cons

Kudos could use more thorough integration with other KPI and HR solutions, but offers a competent standalone environment to make up for the lack of integration.

Recognition made easy

I love it, I use it everyday and recommend its use to everyone irrespective of your job level.

Pros

The structure and ease of use has allowed me to very easily recognize my peers , leaders and staff. The integrated dashboards also creates competitiveness which makes it even more fun.

Cons

The software needs to have some build in moderation to identify "fake" recognition's. An exceptional category gets selected with the contents saying thank you.

Kudos Pros and Cons

Pros

Kudos's ease of use is one of its main advantages. Many users find the system's current interface to be similar to that of a social networking platform. Employees may view prior accolades, badges, and awards by logging onto their Kudos accounts. For staff awards, managers can pick from a number of eGiftCards.

Cons

Kudos doesn't have a pulse survey tool like 15Five or Culture Amp, and many users have requested that GIF support be added. Finally, several users said it was difficult to persuade their coworkers to utilize the system.
