honeybeeBase is a cloud-based team management solution for small size businesses that allows them to track attendance, schedule tasks, clock employees in and out, communicate shifts and more. honeybeeBase allows employees to clock in and out from any browser on desktops, tablets and mobile devices. Its rule-based accessibility restricts unauthorized access and blocks users access from certain prohibited locations. The real-time alert feature sends notifications to managers when their teammates start or end their shifts. Alerts can be delivered via text messages, email or web notifications. In addition, employees can also fill in their time off and vacation requests and send them for management approval. The built-in file sharing and collaboration features allow teammates to share project-related documents within and across groups. The honeybeeBase solution is available on a monthly or annual subscription basis that includes support via phone and email.

Great tool to approve hours!

Pros

It is easy to approve hours each week and see totals worked. You can also easily add when shifts were missed so you can remember why hours were lower during a certain period.

Cons

I find it difficult to get to the actual area where I approve hours for my students. There are a lot of clicks and menus to get through before actually being able to click approve, but overall the tool works well.

Pros

Ease of new employee setup and also ease of employee clock in and out

Cons

I seem to have problems with the time paid off feature and keeping up with the paid time off bank. I probably didn't get it setup properly in the beginning

MSXI Warranty Project

This software has proved crucial in implementing accurate performance management processes.

Pros

I am impressed with the ease to update the features within this software. The technical support team and knowledge base is also extremely impressive.

Cons

There are many methods to accomplish a single task. Although this can be perceived as a benefit to some, many find this cumbersome.

honeybeeBase

The biggest area I have benefited from is the accrual of PTO. This used to take a significant amount of time every pay period to calculate manually. Honeybee allows us to input an employee's hire date and tell it how to calculate for each employee automatically. This has allowed us to become more efficient and also to ensure our calculations are exact with no errors.

Pros

It tracks an abundance of information. I like how you can customize it to your company's needs, such as your company's PTO policy. It made it easy to track different employees' time off accruals, which are unique to each employee depending upon date of hire, position, etc. Our employees like the fact that they can have the app on their personal smart phones so they can keep track of their own hours, requests for time off, etc. Utilizing this app has saved us money in the long run due to having to use less paper for time sheets, time off requests, and PTO updates to employees. Customer service is excellent. Anytime I've emailed or called, I've received a response in a very timely manner.

Cons

It took us quite awhile to learn how to maneuver the site. Sometimes I still get confused how to get back to a certain section. I'd like to see a more thorough instructional manual become available. Even though we've gotten used to most areas of the software that we use daily, those areas that are less frequently used still take up more time than we'd like just to remind ourselves of how to tackle certain issues. I've had to make our own HoneybeeBase instructional manual, so it would have been nice if a more thorough one was provided.

A simple software for leading your team

HoneybeeBase is a nice software for leading your team. HoneybeeBase works great for small businesses, start ups, restaurants and more. There is also a mobile app. It has an easy setup and any problems are addressed immediately. There are several features such as time and attendance, task management, time of tracking and employee scheduling. For example, time and attendance is very useful as it can provide an accurate and easy to use tracking for employee hours. With task management feature you can create tasks that can be assigned and managed. Employees can be notified of their assignments and the progress of the work can be monitored.

There is an app that I can download into my phone
Accesibility and easy of use
Able to clock in off-site
There are several features that can be used such as attendance, task management, time of tracking and scheduling
The price is low

Cons

I don’t have any real dislikes about the software. Sometimes the app on my phone accidentally clocks me in. Very rarely the software freezes but afte few seconds is working ok.
