Products can be imported via CSV and names, prices, and quantities can be edited at any time. Daily stock alert emails notify users of items with low or no stock, and inventory levels can be exported to printable spreadsheets. Restaurants can manage online orders and third-party pickup and delivery. Square Point of Sale makes it easy for businesses to sell in-person, online, over the phone, or out in the field. Merchants can add a synced online store, sell through Instagram and Facebook, and offer curbside pickup, local delivery, and shipping -- no coding required. The built-in customer directory can track customer preferences and feedback with every card swipe. Key customer information is added automatically to build profiles, and merchants can search and sort customers to view their purchase histories, target email marketing campaigns, and send more personalized messages that keep customers coming back more often. With Square Dashboard and built-in sales reports on the POS, merchants can access their sales data from any device, with real-time hourly sales reports for each location, transaction and deposit tracking, and more. Square POS helps merchants manage their inventory from anywhere. Products can be imported via CSV and names, prices, and quantities can be edited at any time. Square has options

Excellent, too, but they take too much out for processing for a small business like mine.

Pros

I use invoicing more than POS because when I am selling my books; It is hard to scan cards. So, I invoice for books.

Cons

Invoicing is great because of SQUARE but bad because there are losers that never pay no matter how many invoice reminders I send.

Perfect For Most Businesses

Overall, I'm happy with Square for payment processing and POS. Since our store travels and often has different staff using it, I needed something that integrated better with my WordPress store but if that wasn't the case, then I would 100% still use Square.

Pros

The Square POS works very well for what it's designed to do–make sales. Users will find they can trust Square and sales people will feel confident in the platform as well. The interface is easy and quick. The fact that the Square ecosystem is able to provide receipts and such is helpful also.

Cons

The reporting and order management needs some work. I would prefer a system that connects to my WordPress website so that I can later reference orders when needed.

Square over SpotOn

Had a great overall experience with Square. Just felt it couldn’t do as many options for our coffee shops. But we loved it!

Pros

It was easy, user friendly, customer service was on point always, had no complaints.

Cons

Processing Fee amounts were pretty steep

A Practical, Affordable, well managed platform.

I have been with Square for many years and overall it is the best platform I have found on many levels for payment processing, online and in person.

Pros

Square's ease of use and flawless integration with my banking allow me time to focus on other areas of my business, helping me to grow.

Cons

There are no cons to this platform that I have discovered as of yet. I cannot say enough good things about the services.

Amazing Customer Service

Overall I like Square. We integrated with Thrive by Shopventory earlier this year so I can use woocommerce for our website, which makes me even happier!

Pros

I feel like the past year, I 've contact more companies for help than any other time in my life. We've been using Square since 2016. I like them, it's user friendly and fairly intuitive, not sure I would have raved about them before though. This year I've had three instances that I reach out to Square customer service, every one of them was a fairly good experience, but the last one was really great! I had a customer return something she bought as a gift for her sister, over the next few months she called several times complaining that we never refunded her money. The last time, I wasn't there and she came in during an event, when we were busy, claiming we stole money from her. When I found out, I reach out to square, provided them with all of the transaction information, the gentleman I spoke with initially just wanted to tell me that the money was sent to her. When I explained that she claimed her bank had no record of the refund coming back to her, he looked into it further and gave me a transaction code for her to give her bank. When we called to give it to her, she got annoyed because it was such a long code, but her bank must have cleared it up because she brought someone else into the shop a week later, acting like nothing ever happened. It's reassuring to know they have those details on hand to help in a situation like that.

Cons

Some of the features cost extra, which can be a bummer. The Square-Woocommerce plugin for wordpress is horrible, I want more control than their
