Don't believe the sales person lies - Terrible Customer Service - LACKING FEATURES & AUTOMATION

THE WORST service & features. Spend more & save more in the long run, I promise

Pros

Onboarding is nice to have, I really like this module, just wish there was more we could do with it. We are still limited and having to use outside software to do things we thought we could do with this system.

Cons

The service is terrible, from the sales process, through implementation to several months in . Lack of Features, lacking BASIC features. & there is no hope on the rise. We have had to run so much outside of this system.

Easy Payroll for Smaller Business

Overall, our experience has been positive. In the 18 months that I have been at this company, however, we have had 4 different sales people assigned to us. Each time there is a change, they reach out to try to upsell us additional products that we do not need. I have had the same conversations several times, as the notes do not seem to transfer from one account rep to the next. Our team has also received several solicitations from Paylocity, as our legal name (which is on our account) is not the same as our dba.

Pros

Paylocity is a user-friendly system. The Employee Self-Service interface is easy for the employees to use. It is easy to add new employees and process the payroll. The system also directly interfaces with our benefits provider, so our new hire and open enrollment processes are seamlessly integrated with little to no adjustments on my part. The system is a la carte, so you don't need to implement products that you don't need.

Cons

The issue resolution process could be better. We are assigned a dedicated Service team member (and appropriate backup), so all requests go through them. In some cases, Service can handle the request quickly, but some take significant time and escalation. They also act as a go-between for the Tax team, so something as simple as updating an Unemployment Tax Rate can often be delayed.

Paylocity makes clocking time a breeze!

I would recommend Paylocity based off of the features and functionality alone. It is easy to navigate and provides everything I need to manage my employees.

Pros

I have found that Paylocity is easy for all of the employees to use on their mobile devices as a means of clocking in/out as well as a way to request time off. You can pull your W-2, check your paid time off and print pay stubs from Paylocity and don't have to request these things from an HR department. Supervisors can edit employee punches and approve requests as well.

Cons

The app is horrible! Most of the time you can't punch with it. It's not the same as the browser version. I'm also not a fan of 'rounding' punches be it up or down. I prefer real time punches.

We changed to this about a year ago. Happy with the features and ease of working

Cons

It can be buggy when clocking in and out. Sometimes you have to watch the clock to make sure it took the click

Paylocity for employers

Pros

An easy software to use and manage/track time and paystubs. Onboarding is made way easier for employees as documents/videos can easily be accessed and uploaded.

Cons

Can be a hard to set up profiles for new users and accepting location services. However mostly user error. Have had issues with it being slow at some points
