Worth the learning curve
TaxDome is worth the learning curve. It is going to be very powerful in my business. Even if I don't use every feature they offer, the ones I'm already using have already made the switch worth it.
Pros
Having a very secure signature feature was the biggest thing. I also like the chat function that includes giving the clients tasks and a to-do list.
Cons
There is absolutely a learning curve. I have not done the white glove onboarding yet, so they may help with that, but I am a tech savvy person who loves to learn new software, and I have not found the layout intuitive.
I also wish there was a way to do more scheduled sends/uploads. But my clients will just learn that I sometimes work very odd hours (even if I won't respond to their emails at those times)

Just finished trial

I wish I had more trial time to get it set up and be sure. I signed up and forgot to use the referral code, but there was no way for the customer support to update it so that the person who referred me could get credit for spending time showing me how they use it.

TaxDome has revolutionized our project & client management giving our clients a single app to...
Pros
I love that there are both client and firm facing apps. In addition, after using other software, the ability to direct message a client inside the software keeps it encrypted and confidential. Also after much trial of other software, TaxDome allows us to give a client a open item list of to-do's and track the deliverables as they are completed without having to constantly update the request and keep manually tracking what is neededed.
Cons
We are waiting for the ability to autopay the recurring invoices. Additionally, we would like to be able to customize an existing pipeline template per client, without creating multiple template copies, which is currently on the roadmap which we are excited about!

Canopy did not have a direct message feature to speak to clients without "requesting" data. Further, the messaging happened outside the software in the native text app on the phone creating the opportunity for sensitive data to leak. Additionally, there was no easy way to create an open items list and track it. A life saver!
I wish there was a pipeline for 990, 1041, 706 clients

The CRM functionality as well as the client management and task management features allow us to visually see and communicate with automation making our time more efficient.
Cons
It's pretty entailed, but their support is amazing.
