Excellent tool for Data Visualization with simplicity
I have worked on domains like Telecom and Network where in I have been using Tableau. Its really liked by senior management as it shows each and every bit very clearly to relevant stake holders. For example, Marketing head likes region wise revenue sale dashboard which gives region/sales manager/product wise sale.
Pros
There are many features which lot of users would have liked:-
1. Connection to almost all database
2. Many types of Charts can be created including Sankey, Doughnut, Maps etc.
3. Its has the feature of data blending and data extraction
4. Dashboards can be viewed on multiple devices like tablet, mobile and laptops.
5. Its really fast while drilling down or filtering out from any dashboard.
Cons
Its a bit expensive tool as compared to other data visualization tools however its a value for money.

Nice tool for data visualisations and presentations
Got introduced Tabelau through my course in data analytics. Overall it's a nice software bit costly though.
Pros
I love the dashboard feature and easy story telling feature. We can add comments below the visualization and give presentations directly instead of transferring into different presentation platform.
Cons
Once started to use I liked everything about this software. Sometimes importing data which is been edited in the original format file can be difficult or can cause error while visualizing.

Industry leader data visualization software
I was using Powerbi desktop before but it couldn't handle a large amount of data, whereas Tableau can handle a large amount of data very well and it is fast. Tableau viewer monthly plans are budget-friendly. I really love using Tableau
Pros
It is very much easy to implement and the dashboard is quite decent. Very efficient software for businesses in terms of reporting
Cons
Tableau creator monthly plans are a little bit high. Customer support needs to be improved.

Good tool but needs to be do lot better to keep being a market leader
Pros
Tableau's ease of use for the features that come out of box. There is lot of flexibility in how certain aspects can be addressed or customizations built.
Cons
The fact that there are several basic and standard things that are missing from both the visualization stack of Tableau and for basic and advanced reporting too. For Tableau to think that basic functionality e.g. sort columns in a report type format needs a customization, is ok and not address these type of basics is one of quite a lot of their weak spots.
