When Jada representatives told us they could implement their system in two weeks, we were skeptical. When they told us we would spend around $50,000 but save more than $1 million in a few months, we were really skeptical. When they follow through with both of their promises, we were impressed. We think SCP is a great product. It addresses all of our pain points surrounding supply chain planning projects, while end users and managers find it easy to use.
My first impression and what held my attention was the ability to see all my planning requirements on the main screen. I am able to get an accurate picture of our activity with one glance and I can review the exception reports to see which items need to be addressed. This enables me to focus on the areas that need it, without wasting time reviewing processes that are working well. I am also impressed with the high level of automation. The automatic status email I get every day gives me invaluable information. SCP is very easy to use, screens and reports are color-coded for easy reference and drill-down capabilities give detailed visibility over all item data. We save over $2 Million dollars our first year with SCP; another $1.8M the 2nd year; and this past year are down 40% from last year and our cash flow has improved dramatically.
I would like to see an executive summary or dashboard to immediately see our current situation and some detail. Right now, the reports handle this information, but I still have to run them or have them emailed to me.

I've used the SCP product for 15 years with our company and helped integrate it with 2 of our other divisions. I reduced our inventory investment by 40% in the first year, while maintaining or exceeding our customer service goals.
As our business grew and changed over the years, SCP easily adapted to those changes.
Working at a mid sized company with a very small planning dept., I needed an easy to use planning tool, and one that I could see every thing I need all from one screen that was affordable, and required very little maintenance. It was important to us that we could plan differently for sourced products verses manufactured products and raw materials with multi level BOM's.
SCP 4.0 fit the bill.
It would be nice to be able to access this software from a mobile device.

SCP 4.0 is amazing
I just started using SCP 4.0 and I am already liking it very much. I love how interactive it is and the ease with which it automatically computes a lot of things based on some parameters.
I don't think there is anything that I dislike. User interface could be improved a bit to improve user experience.

SCP has helped us increase our turns and reduce our safety stock. It has also helped us gain new customers and better support existing customers by using Vendor Managed Inventory.
Forecasting used to be done by the Sales Force, estimating "by feeling" of demand, no formal software or method was applied for the forecasting of products. As our division grew, we needed a better method. We've been using SCP 4.0 for 5 years now. We forecast both finished goods and raw materials and take advantage of their VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) capabilities. The beauty of SCP is you can see everything on one screen so it is very easy to detect an error of demand. The system is very user friendly and it integrates very well with our product management software in order to obtain numeric information on real demand directly from everyday use.
I have specific reports emailed to me through the system daily to keep control of our inventory and review forecast vs. history. I also review the manufacturing and purchasing reports weekly to monitor cash flow.
Sometimes SCP does go down. Unfortunately, we usually discover the problem originated from our servers and not the software. When this happens, tech support from JMS usually helps us determine the problem.

I have not used SCP much yet, but I can already see that it will make it a lot easier to see the mistakes, and since my parameters give me time I can correct them and not have future problems. I found that the main screen is friendly and easy to understand...looking at it you can already see what you need to do...no hassle needed! My overall experience has been very good.
One feature that I though made a diference is the fact that you are able to put safety measures and parameters for separate classes of items. You can really custom your items to what you actually want to consider. The system takes into consideration what you put as ideal and easily shows you when you need to produce.
What I though was most challenging about the software is that the reports are a little hard to build, once you have them done they are very easy to extract, but trying to build the one you want to see can be a little tricky at times.... also some reports could have a better layout...
