Helpful inventory management app that could use some "tweaks"
Pros
Sortly has made it extremely easy for me to track and order my inventory. I also appreciate the fact that their support team puts up with my many questions and responds in a timely manner. Very glad I started using Sortly!
Cons
The only gripe I really have with Sortly is the lack of integration with UPC scanning and desktop versions. "quick actions" are only reachable through the mobile version which is our main way we send, move, sell and receive items. Having a bluetooth scanner hooked up VIA wired (not bluetooth) would be a great addition to this application ( i feel i have most issues due to a bluetooth connection/ bluetooth scanner..my remedy would be using a usb cord from my POS UPC scanner which works much better but since these features are only available on the mobile version, there is no place for me to plug the usb in and the app just does not accept it wired). Other than that, sortly has been great.

Great Simple Inventory Product
Very good, a few tweaks and it would be perfect.

It's nice and simple for small business' to count stock in and out with ease.
Cons
I'd like it if we could take out a "kit" or "pack" out of stock at 1 time - take multiple items out removing 1 item. it also costs quite a lot for multiple users.

Event.Cruises - Sortly at Sea
Sortly was a good addition to our tech, we've been growing each year and part of our challenge has been quickly inventorying and packing our loadouts for sailings. Essentially we take inventory, prepare the load for US Customs inspection then take it aboard a cruise ship for an event. On the final day of sailing we also have a mere 2-3 hours to tear down and repack everything we've brought aboard so being able to scan or search items by name to have the crew place it in the right case has made it much easier to accomplish.
Pros
Scanning and searching to easily build the inventory and then repacking using search.
Cons
Pricing is pretty high for us, sometimes the scan of barcodes doesn't work right or returns the wrong products linking to something random on Amazon.

Overall satisfied with Sortly
Overall Sortly has significantly improved our laboratory's inventory management by providing a user-friendly platform, efficient tracking capabilities, customization options and convient mobile accessibility.
Pros
Sortly is a user-friendly interface. It's functionality for keeping track of kits is excellent. It is available as a mobile app, which is a major advantage. The notification system helps us stay on top of important tasks, such as monitoring expiration dates og restocking kits. It sends reminders and alerts.
Cons
Barcode scanning limitations: In our laboratory we utilize kits from various manufactorers, each with their own unique barcodes. It would be beneficial if there was a seamless integration between Sortly and these barcodes, enabling us to effortlessly scan them and instantly view the quantity of kits available. Moreover, it would be ideal if Sortly could automatically capture the expiration date of the oldest kits, streamlining the process of tracking and managing expiration dates.

Sortly for Hotel Inventory Management
We are not using all the features of Sortly by any means but has proven the perfect solution for what we need which is managing and controlling our inventory and ensuring we always have the stock we need on hand. I do think that the Advanced plan should have more than two users included.
Pros
We use Sortly to control our stock of amenities and supplies for rooms and it is a simple and straightforward tool for that purpose. It was easy to set up our inventory and the minimum level fields and tags make reordering straightforward and the price makes tracking the value of inventory very easy. Being able to upload a number of photos eliminates confusion over which item is which.
Cons
Only 2 users on the Advanced plan is not very generous compared to competitors. 5 would seem to be a fairer deal

Pros
Easy backoffice with easy and fast implementation. No more missing parts thanks to alarm levels for low qty with an automatic mail.
Cons
For a basic field user, the increase/decrease of parts is too far hidden. A start screen with just 2 buttons to add or remove parts and a next screen with a scan and qty field could be useful.

Great Product - Would be Perfect With a Few Additions.
An invaluable tool, that saves us money by eliminating guess work when purchasing and ensuring cash is in the bank and not needlessly on our shelves.
Pros
Extremely user friendly interface, cost effective inventory manangement using either mobile phone, desktop or iPad. Puts Inventory management into all of our team members hands at a minimal cost.Makes purchasing stock efficiently a breeze with csutomisable PDF inventory reports, that make extremely good shopping lists.
Cons
Sortly is missing some features that would make it perfect for us. Ability to scan in cases which update the individual quantities.Kits or BoM, Scanning a SKU Barcode reducing the correct quantity of all parts.Integration with Xero Inventory management, which would allow syncing of realtime parts pricing for example.

Great platform, but still needs work
I am a home stager and after trying several other inventory platforms, Sortly Pro was my favorite. I am frustrated with some basic features that it lacks, but overall, it does what I need.
Pros
I love that it is simple, user-friendly, and very ascetically easy to use.
Cons
There have been several simple updates that I have requested to customer service. I think for a program specifically designed to track inventory, specifically inventory that moves from location to location or customer to customer, then all inventory should have a 'home' or 'original destination' file so that when it is done at a location or customer then you simply click 'home' and them item goes back to it's original file. For example, I have upwards of 20-30 items that go to a client at one time. When they get returned to my inventory, I have to manually send them back to their original folder one by one. Yes, I can do bulk move, but I have nearly 100 'original destination' folders because all my inventory is categorized in folders. So I have to move the sofas to the 'sofas' folder and the lamps to the 'lamps' folder etc. I would like to be able to 'bulk select' and 'move to home folder'. Also, the option to drag items from one folder to the menu on the left would also help expedite daily actions.

Inventory management in one simple app that works for mobile devices
Uploading our inventory from excel to Sortly was easy. Sortly allowed us to set inventory limits for notifications as well as item expiration dates which is very helpful for our clinic.
Pros
As a clinic manager in a university setting, I looked around for a software program to meet our inventory management needs. I like that Sortly is an affordable program and it allowed us to easily integrate our inventory system from excel into the app. It simplified our inventory management and was efficient & time saving for our clinic faculty, staff & students to see what inventory was at hand. Sortly provides instant access to inventory quantity for the entire academic department. Sortly allows us to set expiration dates for our items and sends us alerts on expiring items so that our clinic can be OHSA compliant at all times.
Cons
Sortly does require a time investment to learn to navigate all its features and functions, but the Sortly support team is responsive.

Staging inventory management
We are able to move and add to inventory on the go without being in the warehouse. Or select inventory for our next staging job without being in the warehouse.
Pros
The ability to make a quick photo and add an item to inventory on our mobile phone is necessary to our use of Sortly.
Cons
We move inventory in and out on a daily basis. There are too many steps to move an item, especially if you found that Iitem by searching for that category. For instance, if I search for "chair" and there are several chairs to move to a new house, then I can only move them one at a time. If you don't search for an item you can move multiple items at one time.

Helped us Sortly out some problems!
It's helped us sort out our tool sign-out process, manage uniform inventory, and will eventually become a house for our shop inventory items to help prevent expensive year end write offs for unaccounted for inventory.
Pros
Being able to move some pencil and paper processes to one simple app is convenient. We're do not have a high-volume of inventory that requires constant monitoring, rather it keeps everything in one simple place. It allows staff in house or out on site to view what items we have and where they're located before making the trip back to pick it up.
Cons
I do feel that it is a bit pricey for limited number of individual users that can have access.

Benefits of Sortly
As working in maritiem ( marine maintenance service) you have a billion small spare part which we used to not be able to keep track/count on .. with the help of using sortly, the stock is always on point . Also with providing the clients the spare parts it is always more clear what goes where ( with the help of moving items into new created folders- hence no missing parts anymore - amazing! )

The product is really easy to use, with a few days you get a hang of it! amazing new updates constantly, which makes it even better all the time!
Cons
Until now I just have one con, which is the handscanner system.. if it could be used with handscanners that also have a +/- system it could be used more easily in a bigger wearhouse.

Review for Telecommunications Inventory Management
Great overall experience. Application runs smooth. I have yet to dabble with the scanning features
Pros
This product greatly helped us track a wide array of different telecom equipment. I found your product through a recommendation from a colleague last year and have been using Sortly since then to track our inventory. This have been a vital tool in being able to track equipment going to several different sites and all details that go along with the equipment.
Cons
One functionality that would be nice to have is the ability to create multiple items of the same model # with different serial numbers without having to use the "variance" feature. However, I am not a programmer and have no idea what goes into creating applications like this. The "variance" feature works great and is only a minor inconvenience. Another addition I would like to see is the ability to pull a report for a specific tag within a folder or to pull a report based on a search parameter. For instance, we have multiple install locations for a certain job type and unless I created an individual folder for each location I am unable to pull an inventory report for a specific site, even though I create tags for each install location and can use that tag to search for the equipment I need to look up.

Best Inventory System on the market!
I really needed a system that could track my inventory of parts for our crawl space business. I checked all the others on the market, but Sortly had features that came with the initial purchase that were add-on features on others you had to pay extra for. If you want a great system to control your inventory and where it's going, get Sortly!! Can't beat the price either!
Pros
I love the fact that my project managers and myself can glide through checking our inventory with our crews with just the scan of a QR code!
Cons
There needs to be more versatility on how you can control the settings, and maybe a way to lock a folder so nothing goes in or out of the folder to help not having it placed into the wrong folder by confusion.

Helpful for Food Pantry
Pros
Sortly is user friendly and works fairly well for the purpose of keeping track of inventory for our church food pantry. It is easy to adjust quantities, monitor pricing, and helps us keep track of our spending. The ability to generate barcodes is great for counting items.
Cons
It is a challenge for us not to have the barcodes link to Sortly without paying a higher fee. As a nonprofit, offering charitable services, our budget isn't best used for the increased expense. It is time consuming to hand count a list of barcode numbers to update inventory.

Ease of implementation and use
We have been able to maintain a much tighter control on our inventory. Great product!
Pros
The company I work for had a less-than-ideal solution for managing inventory - an Excel spreadsheet. I was able to import all fields directly into Sortly and create a live inventory for our sales and service divisions. Now we're not scrambling to figure out what we have and what we need.
Cons
The QR code system is a little confusing on label reprints, but it's a very minor issue.

Roofing and Sortly
Overall Sortly has fixed a massive gap in the day to day operation of our warehouse and communication to job sites.
Pros
Sortly has been a great tool to keep track of stock movements between our warehouse and job sites. Allowing the team on site to know what stock is in the warehouse and then allocting the required stock to a job.
Cons
With sortly the printing of barcodes is a bit on the difficult side. It would be great to be able to print directly from the app.
