The ability to track inventory on the go, efficiently.

Pros

The ability to create custom fields and specify the metadata for said field. Quick to add/move/remove/edit items with quick actions. The tagging system is an efficient way to group products. You can easily track quantities and move and adjust as needed on the fly with simply an app on your phone. You get the intricacy of a spreadsheet with the user interface of an app. If you can add/edit/remove items on a social media profile, then you are savvy enough to create a basic inventory system in this platform.

Cons

With any startup, you're going to have growing pains. They are still perfecting the system. The silver lining is in their response to customer feedback. I don't know if I would call this a con, but
there is definitely something of a learning curve. For instance, to create a detailed, intricate inventory system, properly, is going to take some trial and error. There are features and ways to manipulate the app that aren't necessarily apparent. For instance, understanding it's best to keep 'Folders' to a minimum and instead use the tagging system to identify and classify items. We have our own struggles with managing inventory, but once you get a baseline established, in a normal inventory environment, maintenance shouldn't be too labor intensive.

Great Simple Inventory Product

Very good, a few tweaks and it would be perfect.

Pros

It's nice and simple for small business' to count stock in and out with ease.

Cons

I'd like it if we could take out a "kit" or "pack" out of stock at 1 time - take multiple items out removing 1 item. it also costs quite a lot for multiple users.

Unhappy

The overall experience for me ended very badly because I paid out a lot of money on employees, putting the inventory into the system with the hopes that my entire inventory would fit into your system. We’ve reached out to you several times to find out if we were doing it properly if that’s the problem of why we can’t put our whole inventory into the paid amount.

Pros

The pros to this says I love how easy it is to use. But that’s the only thing I like about it.

Cons

I’m just a small balloon company with only a couple people working for me and your product is not have the ability to hold my full inventory even at a high price. It was a total waste of money, and all the hours I paid my employee to scan in the inventory to the point that it was full, which was not all of my inventory plus paying for the membership and it was a total loss of money. Totally overpriced, and totally not functionable.

An easy and affordable Inventory Software.

I use it to manage all my prepaid inventory and how I invoice it to my others offices. Each month, I get my unsold inventory and I'm sure that all the stuff is invoice to whom get it.

Pros

Event.Cruises - Sortly at Sea

Sortly was a good addition to our tech, we've been growing each year and part of our challenge has been quickly inventorying and packing our loadouts for sailings. Essentially we take inventory, prepare the load for US Customs inspection then take it aboard a cruise ship for an event. On the final day of sailing we also have a mere 2-3 hours to tear down and repack everything we've brought aboard so being able to scan or search items by name to have the crew place it in the right case has made it much easier to accomplish.

Pros

Scanning and searching to easily build the inventory and then repacking using search.

Cons

Pricing is pretty high for us, sometimes the scan of barcodes doesn't work right or returns the wrong products linking to something random on Amazon.

Sorting my Business is now easy!

Overall the experience has been positive. I would recommend this product.

Pros

The app and it’s functionality. Ability to quickly see closing stock balances.

Cons

There are two features i’d like. 1) a return/reset to zero for all stock items. This would be easier to determine if stock has been updated or not than looking at the time stamp. 2) Ability to change measurement of stock item once it has been established. Currently i need to delete the item and recreate it with correct measurement.

Sortly was so easy to implement

Love Sortly. Use it every week sometimes every day, and it has been a great addition to our bag of tools at our company.

Pros

The staff position at our office that was responsible for this information has been replaced a handful of times while I have been in this office. The guy there when I was first hired bought a competitors software. I setup the local server for him, connected his iPad to it, and my phone. But before we could use it, I told him that he was going to have to configure it, and determine how he wanted to manage the inventory. It wasn't until 3 people later that Sortly was purchased and put to use the same day that we actually had an inventory up and running.

Cons

I use a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3. Previously a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The support team worked with me on the Note 9 due to a text size issue and the issue was mostly solved; however, I have yet to report that the problem is quite prominent in the Fold 3 and so they still have some work to do with their Text Flow/layout. At least on the Android side, but I don't know how much that would be their fault so much as it is the problem with Android allowing such a wide variety of configurations that every company wants to put their own spin on that I'm sure it can be a daunting task for them to address.

Inventory made fun

Sortly has made managing our inventory fun! There, I said it. All of our items in one place. Categorized in a way that makes sense to us. With photos so there is no confusion by only having product numbers that no one really knows. We see the value, the quantity, the item type, the variants, etc. all in one place. And, it's mobile! Our inventory used to be a guessing game before Sortly. Now, we always have confidence in what products are in stock.

Pros

Photos! With so many similar items, photos make differentiating products a breeze. Additionally, it's so easy to input items. There is no putting it off because it's too time consuming.

Cons

When viewing items from the folder view, it would be nice if the items individual value was also shown, not just the total value of inventory in that item entry. Additionally, I find History is not always accurate.

Sortly Saved Our Projects!

I searched through several inventory software programs and none were designed with the user in mind like Sorlty. The program and application are fast and intuitive!

Pros

The creation of an item is so easy to use. We were able to inventory over 14,000 items in a very short period of time. The offline function was so crucial to a remote 7 month project we had overseas.

Cons

The only thing we found as a con was the limited users.

Very good for inventory management, but gets quite expensive to add users

Usage has been great. But am looking for another solution as we grow and need to add users. Wish we could add a user without all of the additional features of the next tier, for a smaller fee per user

Pros

Once items are set up, using Sortly is easy and it facilitates keeping track of inventory positions.

Cons

Setting up items can be cumbersomeHaving more than 3 users is a huge jump in cost (triples monthly fee to go from 3 to 5 users)

Really like the software but I have been suggesting an upgrade to the alert system for years and just am not getting the traction I would like to see on this. Also sorting of fields isn’t consistent, and mobile app shouldn’t have to DL items it should just pull the items/pix like it does on web

Ease of item entry. System is clean and legible

Cons

Alerts: need to be better, have more info to stream line processes. Needs an OCR function on the camera

Perfect for Camera Equipment

Sortly pro has been great. I was in the process of designing my own custom app for tracking my equipment, but am glad I didn't go too far down that road before I discovered Sortly.

Pros

What I love about this software is how flexible it is... if pressed for time I can quickly snap some pictures of what I need to inventory, and come back later to fill in the details. Also, the custom fields really help me fit it into my own systems. Also, the more you use the software, the less time consuming it becomes because the information tends to be already input... now I mostly am just moving things around.

Cons

A lot of what I do is basically "Checking in" and "Checking out" equipment... making sure what SortlyPro says is in the case is actually still there... there's no simple solution for that... but I've worked out my own way of doing it.

I also wish the "History" option worked better for what I do... would be nice to be able to easily see where a piece of equipment has been... but the current format for History is basically a very complicated list.

Solution with Logic

Very please with the performance of the app and appreciative that it is simple to train with my staff.

Pros

Sortly has been a perfect solution with a simple user interface. We attempted to use several other applications prior to Sortly and they were not user friendly. Sortly has a clear interface and logical approach.

Cons

The primary issue with the barcode feature is that is does not require an input of "adding" or "deleting" from inventory prior to a scan.

Decent Software for entry level Inventory Management

So far, during the last 2 years, I implemented Sortly in our warehouse to manage cosmetic packaging components; since we have 35+ different packages, it was helpful to take a picture and create a profile for each element and manually adjust the location of these items in the warehouse, it was done manually, we had to find a way around, but so far it works, we think is limited, but is decent for what we need now.

Pros:Image - picture was taken to easily identify items / in our case components for cosmetic productionEasy to create and navigate menus

Cons

Cons:Not easy to take advantage of the full product

Love Sortly!

It has helped streamline our business and saved us money by knowing how much we have in inventory at a glance.

Pros

We started our franchise 3 years ago and at first we did not have any way other than by hand to know how much product we have in stock. Causing us to spend more on product than we needed to. Sortly was easy to set up and easy to keep up to date. At a glance, we can see how much we have in inventory and make our buying decisions based on stock as well as likely use. Love it!

Cons

There is nothing that I have found that I dislike about Sortly.

Good program!

We use it daily and it makes staying organized a breeze!

Pros

I like how easy it is to keep track of the hundreds of cabinet hardware that we stock. Easy to add and remove inventory!

Cons

We do not use all of the functions on Sortly. The amount of options could be overwhelming.

In a word: Phenomenal! I'm a fan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to the masses.

Pros

The program is uncomplicated. Easy to use, manipulate, track, edit, and operate. Simple and effective in my daily needs and operations. Customer Service is quick, kind, and responsive. Using Sortly makes my job easier...what's not to like!

Cons

When there are bugs that need to be worked out... Customer Care is always available to chat and get to the bottom of any cause an effect.

Sortly is Amazing!

Pros

I love that I can jump on anytime from anywhere and check inventory levels and track material.

Cons

The scanning function for our use specifically. Bought the scanners but don't use them.

A great choice!

We have improved organisation well using Sortly and are pleased with overall implementation.

Pros

Adding photos and ease of use makes Sortly our preferred choice for inventory and stock management.

Cons

Adding videos would be useful. Also an item being able to have more than one location would be useful. If our location is full, we have to out them somewhere else!

Public Charter School Implementation

Pros

We love that we are able to place the valuations of items and thorough descriptions and photos of each item for the purpose of identification. Additionally, the information downloads into a very nice and easy to understand spreadsheet for reporting purposes.

Cons

As a public school and not-for-profit, the pricing structure is difficult, though we find that the program is worth the cost because of it's reporting and barcoding capabilities - this helps us to meet the requirements of the State and Federal Government.

Very Happy, a life saver !

Very positive experience, and a great app !

Pros

We have thousands of different items so the search feature and folders are phenomenal for helping me keep track of what items are on what projects.

Cons

Integration was just fine, the only thing I found a bit difficult, but was only minor, was once you select a unit of measurement (ft, kg etc) you cannot change it.”Later on if you want to change how you track it. Only mildly inconvenient, but still would be nice to change if possible later on.
